Description:
The preservation effort of the 60 year old historic 'Downtown Library Branch' and its 1 acre 'Triangle Park', suggests to modernize and expand the library facilities by creating a secured outdoor reading and sculpture courtyard, improving the building entry, adding a garden cafe and terrace, and providing passive park amenities to the existing open space. A focal fountain plaza with skyline palms creates a visual gateway to the historic downtown district.
*Project was directed and managed during David B. Salkowitz's tenure at DBS Landscape Architecture
